donation

I rarely ask for donations (gifts and sessions, yes, but not donations). I am, however, in a bit of a bind. Any amount will help. Paypal to mistress@mistresszaynab.com.

Thanks everyone who attended Sexpo last night. It was at times enjoyable and at times incredibly annoying. First, there was the performance debacle. The organizers told us that we could do a performance on stage. The other Priestesses and I rehearsed a great musical piece. We told them we'd need to do a sound check and that we had a keyboard. They said it was fine. They then got us onto stage in the middle of the event only to tell us that we could not in fact patch into the sound system with our keyboard and mics. We left the stage without performing. They had also told us that sound check was at 5pm. We waited until almost 7, when the pre-party had started in order to go back to Holy Mountain and get dressed. No sound check.

It was probably one of the least organized events in which I've ever participated! And I've done shows in lots of odd alternative venues. To top it off, some of the event's patrons were morons and assholes to put it mildly. What kind of lizard-brained garbage dweller thinks it's ok to move into a Lady's space, touch Her without permission, and worse yet, squeeze her ass? If I had $10 for every ass or boob grab that happened to one of Us, I'd have zero debt. And if one more drunk loser had asked me why I wasn't on the stage pole dancing (and told me it was a matter of low self-esteem when I replied that "Sorry, I'm not a dancer."), I would have gnawed his face off.

We had to deal with people trying to steal DVDs from our table, AND losing two great toys to thieving hands.

Had we made money I would have at least felt it was worth it. But we didn't even make back the cost of the booth with around 2000 people visiting our area over the course of the night. We offered services and DVDs and we were raffling off a $100 gift certificate. If only I could have sold just 100 DVDs it would have made it all worthwhile. (I wonder if anyone made any money? As we were leaving some guys were screaming, "Fuck this place. We didn't make a fucking dime!")

That said, the few serious subs and lifestylers I did meet were pleasant. I'm grateful for that. Little flashes of light in an otherwise darkly infuriating evening.

We won't be doing it again next year. It's not our audience. These people came to watch strippers and drool over boobies like 14-year-old boys.

We did however make one good connection which could lead to our very own large venue fetish event. Yay!

Anayway, enough complaining. If you were one of the nice ones who came by to greet the only Woman wearing a hijab at a sex convention, thank you.
